Pyramid Hill

Overview
Located in a wheat growing area Pyramid Hill is a town in Victoria, Australia located in the Shire of Loddon. The town has its own railway station.
The town is named after a nearby hill that rises 180 metres above sea level.
History
The first European in the area was Major Thomas Mitchell who climbed the mountain in 1836 during his exploratory journey into 'Australia Felix'. Squatters soon followed in his wake.
The Post Office opened on 17 November 1875. The railway arrived in 1884.
