Riddells Creek

Overview
Riddells Creek is situated on the southern foothills of the Macedon Ranges. Riddells Creek is home to two historic railway bridges and is surrounded by natural bushland. There is also a small creek that runs through the town at Wybejong Park.
It may be one of the villages closest to Melbourne, but the little hamlet of Riddells Creek offers skies, historic architecture and the relaxed country attitude city folk only dream of.
History
Riddells Creek was originally settled by John Carre Riddell and Thomas Ferrier Hamilton in 1841, when they purchased around 640 acres of land and leased another 2,000 acres. Riddells Creek Post Office opened on 1 February 1859.
