History
Woodend is located between Macedon and Kyneton and at the northern end of Macedon's Black Forest. The town has a long history, dating back to the days of the Gold Rush of the 1850s, when Woodend was a service centre for people on their way to the goldfields of Bendigo and Castlemaine.
